What to get for a grand?

Hi guys.

I've got a grand put together to spend on a MacBook Pro/Air. Can't say that I am interested in the white MacBook.

Is anyone aware of any 'super-clearances' or somesuch where I can get an older one of these units at that price?

I can't really shell an extra $300 out for the new 13" MacBook.

They have the refurbished macbooks for $850 at the online applestore.

If you want something new or refurbished, your only option is a white or maybe black MacBook, I'm sorry to say.

Used is of course a different story entirely.

Wish I could tell you but I don't know much about the used market.

Right now there is a used black macbook for $750 and a white macbook for $850 on Craigslist for my area

I second the craigslist option... you're taking a bit more of a chance than with Apple refurbished, but it'll be cheaper probably. Ebay works too, although it may be slightly more expensive, and there's shipping.

ur only choice is the older macbooks. i just orderd an older one and cant wait for my first mac. if it were my second mac id go for the new macbook,but since its my first im happy with the whitebook. i dont think you can even get a refurb pro for 1000$,can you.
