What to know when selling iphone?

I'm gonna sell my iphone 3g. What do I need to know about selling it so I'm ready for my next phone and so people dont have my information.

I know I need to back it up on my itunes.

Then do I just restore the phone within the phone by going to settings?

After that I can jailbreak it and enter the source code to unlock it right?

All without my sim card in it.

Sounds about right. Just a note, make sure you check you're not signed into your iTunes account in the iTunes app and AppStore. When I was going to sell my 3GS, I restored it and never synced it, but it still had my account signed in...
