Currently I have a 2008 white, 12" MacBook which I still like - although I'm pretty upset with the a.) Cracked Case, 2.) Broken Wireless Modem, 3.) Inability to connect easily using an External Modem, and 4.) Inability to add 15mm high HDD.

Anyways...

I have been considering buying a new Mac Laptop to manage a website that I am building. (This would allow me to use FDE on the new laptop, and lots of other security features that I am not using on my current MacBook.)

But then this thought just occurred to me...

Maybe I should buy a new Mac Laptop, and use that for my day-to-day personal and development needs, and then instead use my old MacBook to manage my website?!

The idea being, managing my website would really only require *minimal* computing power, so why waste a new laptop just for occasionally managing my webserver, uploading script corrections, managing user accounts, etc.?!

What do you think about that?

Sincerely,

Debbie

P.S. Regardless of which laptop I use to manage my website, SECURITY needs to be a top priority!!!
