What "tricks" can you use with AT&T unlimited data on iPhone?

What is the best ways to utilize unlimited data on an iPhone? Is there a way I can tether it to my iPad? I believe the only way to tether is to have a jailbroken iPhone.

How does everyone go about using their unlimited data plans on AT&T?

I have iTether on my iPhone so I connect it to my MBA but I'm trying to figure out a way to use it on my iPad.

ATT throttles the bandwidth because people try to use the unlimited data just to use it, instead of using it as needed.

No "tricks" for me. I just use it whenever I want and don't have to worry about going over.

I used to jailbreak and tether with it, but AT&T sent me a warning once so I don't tether (or jailbreak) any more.
