No multiwindow multitasking hacks for iOS6+, I'm afraid.

We can only hope Apple indeed adds proper multiwindow multitasking to the rumoured iPad Pro.

Actually I think one might be in development by @e_swick. Only on ios 6 at the moment but ios 7 update/version is planned after ios 6 is finished.

You mean VideoPane? I don't think it consumes much. I'll benchmark it, though.
