Hey everyone. I'm looking to upgrade my macbook's RAM to the highest gbs I can. I have two questions....

1) I've seen lot's of stuff online about being able to upgrade my model to 6gb. Is that actually true or is it only 4?

2) Either way, what type of RAM do I need to buy? 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM?

My macbook specs are....

Macbook 4.1 (I think)
2.4 ghz
2gb of ram
Model #: A1181

Thanks!!

i think you are at 4gig for your max, i have read that you might be able to push 6 but it won't recognize it or run any faster, just get matching 2x2GB sticks and you'll be fine

you should google "decode macbook serial", that way you know what you can put in your macbook and will give you the specs of your macbook

just make sure you get Apple OE RAM
