Hello,

I have a 27' iMac and we have been doing some rough editing in iMovie but that has caused us problems with exporting issues.

Some of our interviews have been exported into terrible quality, so now we want to get Final Cut Pro.

Can someone tell me what version we should buy for my iMac?

iMovie has pretty good export quality. But it all dependent on the source quality. If the source is bad quality, don't hold your breath thinking that Final Cut Pro (or any video editing software) will magically turn it into better quality.

There is only one version of Final Cut Pro that is supported going forward. That is Final Cut Pro X (abbreviated as FCP X or FCPX). I suggest buying that versus buying an outdated copy of Final Cut Pro 7 (the previous version).
