I'm kind of confused which MacBook or MacBook Pro has which version "butterfly" keyboard.
Oh, wow. For some reason I thought the plain MacBook also had v3. Thanks a bunch.2015 MB: v1
2016 MB: v1
2016 MBP: v2
2017 MB: v2
2017 MBP: v2

A new one should be released this year, maybe as soon as within a month or two.Oh, wow. For some reason I thought the plain MacBook also had v3. Thanks a bunch.
m3-8100Y, i5-8200Y, i7-8500Y. Available now.Oh really? You seem to know more than everyone else so tell me: which one of the hitherto unannounced and unreleased ultra-low power 3.5-5W TDP Intel CPUs is Apple going to put into this infamous new MacBook that is going to be released within a month or two?

You're welcome.
Wow, I've completely missed thoseThanks! Serves me right for spending all day in an airplane...
Since they've only been introduced three days ago are they actually already available? Or is it another one of Intel's infamous paper launches?
Don't expect Macbooks on them earlier than middle of October I'd say.Wow, I've completely missed thoseThanks! Serves me right for spending all day in an airplane...

I wonder if the plastic covering that they added inside really fixed the issues.
I had to exchange the newest MBP (July 2018) due to the key sticking issue. Hope it’s an isolated incident, we’ll see.
Yes.Ok, so to summarize: If I order a 12-inch MacBook today, I’m getting the second generation keyboard that might still be subject to the familiar dust-sticky issue. But if I wait, I’m likely to get the third-gen that now comes on the MacBook Pro? Is that right? And the best guess as to when that might be - maybe next month?
