I have an early 2010 MBP 17" and have Bootcamp with XP Pro installed solely to use my RC helicopter flight simulator.

I would like to display this on my 42" HD TV , and for this would like your advice on what video connector/adapter to use for this, and where to buy it.

It's not important to have the audio on the TV.

TIA

I found this adapter that carries audio, but only for Mac's after April 2010.

I bought mine on 25 March 2010 - how can I find out if mine carries audio in the mini display port?

Supports audio and video passthrough for April 2010 MacBook / April 2010 MacBook Pro and all 21.5-inch and 27-inch iMac desktop computers (For complete list, see compatibility list below).

List of Apple Computers (Mid 2010) models with Mini DisplayPort audio pass through :
MacBook Pro 17-inch: 2.53GHz (MC024LL/A)

Is your laptop that model number? If not then no. And since you got your Pro in March and only the MBP's released in April support that feature the answer is definitely no.
