iPod touch What video formats can the iPod Touch play?

hey guys, i just wanted to know what video formats the iPod Touch can play. i'm pretty sure i've got the 4th gen because it has a front and back camera.

If your iPod Touch is jailbroken you can install VLC Media player which will play literally any movie format.

Outside of that, the iPod Touch can only play H.264, .mp4, and m-jpeg.

but it can play all videos as long as they're in H.264 and .mp4? can it play the highest quality ones as well?

+1 for goodplayer, it has been able to handle every single format I have thrown at it, even some weird .m3u and such.
