What was your first memory of the mini game within a game? And what’s your FAVORITE mini game in any game?

Mine was in Star Trek Elite Force 2 there were a couple of really enjoyable mini games can’t remember their names but one was found at the very bottom of the ship

I recall playing Doom 3, and pretty much at the beginning of the game, as you're exploring the Mars base, there is a break room that has an arcade game cabinet in the back corner, where you can play a rousing game of "Super Turbo Turkey Puncher 3", rendered in the classic sprite style of the original Doom.

Pretty fun, but the fun wears off quickly because, as you have probably figured out, all you do in the mini-game is punch a turkey over and over again.

I think Ratchet and Clank 3 having the Qwark mini games is the earliest I can remember - probably the most elaborate too!

Space Quest I - there was this action sequence where you had to ride a sand skimmer to a desert city. All you had to do was steer left or right and avoid rocky obstacles.

Skip to minute 17:00 - unfortunately, the forum turns youtube links to MEDIA links and removes timecode information.

In the CD-ROM version of Day of the Tentacle you could play the predecessor Maniac Mansion on a home computer. This is supposed to work in the remastered version as well.
