What do you think is most likely to have issues on the new model of macbook pros? Pretty much all gen 1 stuff in the past had various issues, but hopefully most will be ironed out.

Knowing my luck, the 8-core CPU variant.

I am only running Logic and some bits of Lightroom and Premier though.

Heat/cooling/throttling? Panels? But seriously, who knows - and maybe nothing, because a lot of this stuff has been tested in other designs and Apple seems to have prioritised performance over tight tolerances this time around.

Just the Notch being there is already an issue for some regardless of how the software interacts with it or how the camera performs.

These things have been delayed quite a while, right? They certainly don't seem rushed. Any chance they've ironed all these teething problems out this time?

Hopefully “threadgate” is the last gate, because we are already well beyond the other gates. Alas, I suspect I am wrong.

The notch is a deliberate design decision - so it can't be a 'gate' just because people don't like the way it looks. Actual wide spread issues turn into a 'gate' when a part fails, malfunctions or wears too easily due to a design flaw. Give it time, I am sure there will be one or two.
