What will Save As do to my Mojave iTunes library

I have my vast iTunes library on an external SSD which was created on Mojave and am ready to surrender it to Catalina. When I option+click "Choose Library", it wants to do a Save As.

Will this just write the new equivelant to the old .itl file ? Or will this copy all the music and do other unforseen things. No help from Google search, very surprisingly.

And can I save it to the external anywhere I want? I thought I read it likes to be on the internal drive, and I do not want to do that. Thanks!

It was painless and just worked! I just did save as, gave it a name, saved it inside my old iTunes folder and all is well. Or well enough. Apple sure is a pain in the ass with their "improvement" that add nothing and only take away functions and cause headaches. END OF RANT!
