iPad What will the storage options & prices for the new iPads be?

It's obvious that they don't want anyone to buy the low-end model to protect their precious margins at the cost of decent user experience.

That is what I'm hoping for, getting a 64GB for £479 will be great

Yupp, I think the same.

Storage and RAM is something where Apple really shaves the dollars.

I know Apple does what it wants, but lots of outcry from the buyers that the 16gb stayed around for the iPhone! Also, I think iPad apps are larger and people tend to put more movies on their iPads..

The more I think about this, the more I believe they go the iP6 route of 16, 64 and 128. While 32, 64 and 128 makes more sense (to me), I'll be quite surprised if the 16 is dropped as the entry level storage size.

I certainly won't complain about getting 48 more gb of ram at the same price of the 32gb, even if 32gb was my previous sweet spot.

They won't change it until the numbers suggest that they should. I'd imagine that not as many people are as upset about a 16GB iPad as are about a 16GB iPhone given that the latter device is used so much more frequently.

16/64/128 at prices of 16/32/64. That then makes four price points - just like the iPhone.

By that I mean, the cost of an iPad Air is the same cost as the next storage size up equivalent iPad Mini.
