Alright guys (and girls), I have been playing with X11 for the last couple months to ease my way in to a *nix environment, yet still have support for all my hardware (new PBs don't have the best time with the PPC linux distros out there). So, what I would like to know are some of your experiences setting up your *nix systems through X11. What WM did you go with, which progs do you love, which shell do you like, and how did you set it up? I know that that is a big plate... but if anyone can handle it...

If you're talking about X11 on the Mac side of things, I just use the Aqua interface that Apple's X11 package uses.

As for directly on a non Mac Unix box, I'd say pick either KDE or Gnome. It depends on which one you like.
