I’ve heard COWON and Fiio.

I want to play lossless files like Flac on my iPhone 5. How can you convert from FLAC to Apple lossless?

Also if there are other MP3 players that will give you a better sound with lossless than playing the same lossless files on iPhone 5, I would want that MP3 player.

There are many players out there that are way better than the iPhone when it comes to playing music.

Perhaps check out the Sony Walkman NW-ZX1

Anyways you can convert FLAC to ALAC. I use XLD for this.

Fiio X3 would be a good start, it not to expensive but plays most if not all audio formats inc Apple lossless.

It basically wipes the floor with both the ipod, iphone or any smartphone for that matter, only better quality comes if you move up the ladder to more expensive DAP players such as the Fiio X5 or the Astell&Kern's ect.

But for the price i don't think you be dissapointed, I love mine and can't stand to listen FLAC anymore on a smartphone.

No, they all sound the same basically. I'd rather spend £500 on a new set of iems (and have) than a different player.

Thank you. Do you know how it compares with COWON because I’m undecided between the two.

I found XLD but it doesn't seem to have any button to choose the flac files to be converted.

Couldn't say I'm guessing you thinking of getting the Cowon Z2?

Between the two, I would rather have the X3 not just because I've got one, but more the fact it's a dedicated DAP, that all where as the Z2 is more a Android device, but i think they both share the same Wolfson DAC so sound quality should be similar.

It upto you if you want to spend more to have touch screen android ect, or less on just something that plays music nothing more.
