What would be a good monitor to pair with a MBP?

Hi,

I want to pair my MBP (high res antiglare) with a 24" monitor. The colour levels on the MBP are really good and I'm a little worried about buying a monitor and setting them up side by side and not having the two match in terms of quality.

Can anyone recommend a good monitor that is of equal quality to the MBP antiglare screens? I've read good things about the Dell ST2410 which is within my budget.... if really pushed I could go for the U2410 but would really rather not spend that much. Are there any other monitors that are cheaper than the U2410 that have 'mac mode'?

You can probably find a used 24" Apple LED Cinema Display for around $500, I'm sure it has some sort of "mac mode" included! Best of luck!

Yep. It's better than my current desktop which has a VA panel.

+1. that's the set up I have. the cost is reasonable, very nice images on the 24 screen as well.

There's also the HP LP2475w, ZR24w, Dell 2408wfp (later revisions) - all have great screens, not sure what you mean by "mac mode"...
