Hi all,

I run a YouTube channel and will be looking to get an Apple Macbook Pro to edit and render my videos whilst I am at work or round my girlfriends house.

I am looking to get the laptop on finance and will be looking to spend around the £1500 mark.

I will be using the laptop for editing videos about 3 times a week and will also be using most days for general browsing the internet.

What would you recommend for me?

Thanks,

-Knighty

Agreed, unless you intend to invest in some heavy duty NAS (gigabit minimum) or the like, you WILL want *loads* of space!

I would go with the cMBP too.

The base cMBP should be fine. Pick the 1TB, and the hi-res matte/glossy screen.

Also, don't upgrade the RAM to 8GB from Apple. Buy the 16GB elsewhere for cheap.

Thanks for all of your replies I appreciate your help! I don't really need too much hard drive space as I'll be taking raw footage from my computer and then transfer it across to the MBP..

Would you recommend the 2013 15" MBP or a previous year? What would the processor speed be?

Thanks,

-Knighty
