What would be the fastest OS for a MAXED-OUT 2017 27-inch iMac 5k?

I have the maxed out model with 4.2 i7, 64GB of RAM, 2TB Fusion drive and 8GB Radeon Pro 580... But I'm still on High Sierra.

I haven't upgraded out of fear that I would trade performance for new features and social media integrations that I'll never use, but I've been hearing that High Sierra might not be so fast... What version of macOS is would this machine thrive on?
