It has been happening with my new Al 2.4ghz Macbook for about 2 weeks now.

I've restarted, reset PMU, SMU, and it will fix it for a bit, but then it starts doing this again.

It happens in firefox and safari.

(it also does some horrible weird stuff when I scroll with my fingers (not clicking or pressing the up down arrows).

very odd, any suggestions?

wow! Very weird indeed...never seen something like this. Does it happen only with the specific site? Can you provide a link to test it? (Is it just the home page of google finance or a specific page?)

yeah, that's just finance.google.com ... It happens on any site I can scroll on, doesn't matter if it's text or pictures. :(

Me too!

I have had the new macbook since the week they came out (and I have installed all the patches) but I have only had the screen tear problem for the last six days. The only way I can reduce the problem is to reduce the scroll speed in the trackpad settings. If anyone out there has some help it would be greatly appreciated.
