iPod touch What would happen if i try to install 4.0 with iTunes 9.1?

iTunes would say "This version of iPhone OS is not able to be installed using this version of iTunes. Please visit Apple.com for the latest version."

Or something along those lines. In a nut shell, nothing would happen.
