What would happen if someone was to connect the ipod power adapter to a firewire wire then connect the powered wire to a firewire port on a comp? Nothing, or would it fry something?

people seem to ask this alot, and to update an old axiom,

Curiousity killed the Mac

I would say you should go with common sense on this one, is your comp's fireware power designed to take a large chrage thru that port? no, then it seems like you should not do it.

buddy, this is a lose lose situation.. if nothing happens, then it was a waste of time. and if it fries something, then that is most likely bad

Ive done it in the past... the voltage is way to low to cause any damage... (12 V)
