What would I need to bring to buy an iphone?

A valid, government-issued photo ID, Your Social Security number, A debit or credit card. At least at the Apple Store, probably the same at AT&T.

There was a thread saying that AT&T store takes only REAL credit cards, not accepting debit cards or cash at all so be careful.

Nope. At least here in Ohio. I used my Visa logo bank card with no problem.

Unless you are getting on a family plan with him, I dont see you getting one. You have to be 18 to sign a contract.

Apple stores now take gift cards for buying an iPhone. See the bottom of: http://www.apple.com/legal/sales_policies/retail_us.html

You do have to meet any other requirements (like being over 18), though.

call the store you want to go to, ask them he question in detail, and take the person who told you's name down. then raise hell if they dont let you buy it nah, but really . just get your info straight and I hope you have a license, that will make it MUCH easier.
