Especially to DBA's, and other computer base jobs. If you could do something new for a living, what would it be, and, again to DBA's, why would you stop being a DBA, or what do you hate most about it?

Just looking for some career advicce for a friend.

Its never too late to do porn ;) -Just add the word "mature" to your pr0n search.

I honestly think I would become some sort of detective or PI - preferably in Hawaii and live in a mansion that had a Ferrari. Yeah, way too much Magnum and Sherlock Holmes growing up.

Porn Actor.

Guess you wouldn't mind taking home some work with you then... :p

My mates and me would own a computer game store where we sell games in the front and code some in the back office. We even had the chance once but missed it. :(

Astronaut. Although I think that once you have been into space everything else would just seem pointless and trivial.

Why are you so interested in DBAs? Is there something particularly bad about that job?

Can I play - even though I'm not even remotely IT connected?

I'd like to have been a lecturer - the hours sound great to me and with all the free time I could write and do community stuff.
When I was younger I wanted to be a pilot, but I don't think they like pilots with poor eyesight - I failed the medical.

I did have a chance. I was hired to be a monitor mixer for Emerson Drive but declined the offer! as my fiance (now wife) at the time was more important. Besides, I'm a family man, not a live in hotels and buses for 11 months out of the year man. No bueno. Actually, just getting the offer was all I needed.

Well it's going to be hard to top "porn actor"...:p

Anyways, I think that if something does stop me from becomming a lawyer, I'd go with:

Teacher/professor

and, if nothing else,

use my useless poli-sci degree to get a government job:p
