Upgrading to the 11 Pro.

My iPhone X has cracked back glass. It’s paid off so I own it outright. Isn’t under warranty or Apple Care so fixing it is $500+ with Apple.

I can’t trade it in anywhere, no value for broken back glass.

I could hang on to it but I’d like to get some value out of it.

Anyone have experience selling a broken X anywhere?

Thanks!

I'm in the same situation as you. Broken back on my XS and Apple won't give me anything for it. Guess I'll be trading in my backup 7 and keeping the XS as a backup.

Would you get more on your trade in or if you sold it out-rite than it would cost to fix it, that's the question. Unfortunately it may not be economically viable to pay to repair the phone.

I am seeing some ebay sold listings for $200-$300 with a cracked back. I think if I got $300 I'd be happy about that.

I think he is saying Apple will not give him any trade in value. At this point, just pass it on to a family member or see if a friends wants to buy it for really cheap. Most people case their phones, so a cracked back isn't the end of the world.

Yeah and that's what I said. It may not be economically viable to repair.
