Not the same.

I hate cases/shields/covers on any of my devices, not just my iPhone. (I don't care about resale value, these gadgets are mine to own and enjoy).

That's fair. I have to say I agree to a point...

I do like a cover that fulfills it's purpose of protecting and making it look cool while maintaining it's performance though!

Boring answer - more memory. 64GB at least, ideally >100GB. I want *all* of my music with me, dammit!!
