Hi Guys Long Story short, I got the Silver PM13 (always wanted to try silver) and I do like it a lot but wasn't crazy about it, reason why I preordered a bigger capacity SB just in case I wasn't crazy about the silver. I decided at last minute to ditch the SB because I think hero colors a) 80% will get them, b) get old fast c) when you keep the phone for multiple years it will make it look dated since that color only came for that certain year whereas the silver will keep coming out as long as there's iPhones . now the problem I encountered are: I bought two cases (apple midnight leather and Totallee Frosted Clear) and the white looks amazing! and grew on me specially the frosted with the silver looks AMAZING! but when I ordered the silver I did not check and ordered the 256 GB variant and now I just have 80 GB of free space at the moment, not good If I plan to keep it for a few years, My friend at Verizon told me they hold my order for 14 days after arrival Oct 21s and trade the silver and get the SB (512 GB), but since the silver really looks so appealing now and not too many people carry that color made me want to keep it even more, so my question would be:

Would you sacrifice the phone that you LIKE for the Space that you NEED?

If you know you will keep it for a few years and will likely fill it up it is always better to size up. The days of when I had my 32GB iPhone was so painful and every week I would waste time finding things to delete to free up space, so from my personal experience it would be best to save yourself the headache.

Do you need a lot of content on your phone ready on hand? I tend to keep most things in iCloud.

Yes, that Silver does look amazing. And yes, I think SB will look very dated in a few months time. :)

that's what I think maybe manage my iCloud content better and keep what makes me happy? but in the other hand, pro res, apple raw and file sizes this gen are insane! so the 512 gb even though in a dated color, doesn't pose a bad alternative, I just wish I didn't like this silver PM and Case combo this much! man in apple promo material I was sooo sure I was getting the SB, but the pics online sometimes I like it sometimes it looks dull.

Some of your reasoning is wishful thinking. The Sierra Blue will be more desirable in the future because it was an exclusive. People still love their midnight green on the 11s and their Pacific blues on the 12s. Silver is the one nobody will think about because they can get one in any year

What case is that? Link please.

Edit: sorry I I see you posted the case in the OP.

Just keep the silver. It’s a beautiful color!

Perhaps I don't understand the whole story, but is there a reason you can't return the 256GB Silver for a larger capacity Silver? In my opinion, color is very important so you definitely shouldn't settle for Sierra Blue if you don't like it as much. Last year, I pre-ordered the Pacific Blue but when it arrived, I just didn't like it as much as I thought I would. Ended up going for Graphite and was much happier.

glad I asked I didn't see it from this perspective and it is a valid point, specially at 512 GB:confused::confused:

no I can't it will take over a month, and my friend will get super mad, I guess they get flack knowing how hard is to get an iPhone and he just orders them and cancel them because I can't decide on the color, at this point I'm even considering the 9$ a month 2tb iCloud plan
