If they ended up announcing in June that the 3.0 OS update is the only update for this year? Meaning no new hardware update.

To be honest I'm completely satisfied with what the 3G has to offer. I'd be disappointed to a point because I like the hype of new releases but really it's no skin off my back.

I'd be happy because that would keep everything in the app store compatible still. I still like my first gen iPhone!

As one who's unfortunate enough not to have a money tree in my yard, I'm tired of the gotta-bring-out-new-hardware-every-12-months thing, anyway, so I'll probably be more troubled when they DO bring out the new model. And they will, never fear.

The iPhone is fine the way it is for me, except for one thing.

I would prefer a 32GB model. If a 32GB model was available, I would already have an iPhone.

One of the many of us... :-(

My 3G will do for quite some time. Meanwhile I'm busy sweeping up the fallen paperwork from other people's money trees to have a hope of affording the upcoming netbook/tablet/whatever.

I would continue waiting, patiently, for the day when I can hold the iPhone in my hot little hand, up to my blissfully engorged...ear.

Until then, I'm stuck with Verizon.
