What would you buy 2011 27" brand new for $1050 or go new 2012 27" imac? Base models

Assuming we are talking about the bottom of the line for each 27" model. I would go with the 2011. There isn't much of a performance difference between the two.

The video card is a good upgrade. But would only matter for gaming. The 0.2Ghz, video card and RAM is not worth an additional $750.

I would also go for the 2011 27" iMac. I prefer the regular thickness of the older model than the new slim model.

Ok thanks good to know. well going to go with new 2012 27 imac then just spend the extra money and guess ill upgrade to fushion drive.
 
Figured I post it just found a imac OS X 27" 2010 2.8 GHz Intel Core i5 4 GB Memory 1 TB Hard driveRunning current Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5SuperDrive asking $1000 has box and everything idk about applecare tho what u think?
 
Nevermind change of plans wife says no I can only spend 1300-1400 so let me know of any deals on 27 imac thanks sorry
 
On apple refurb there 2011 27 base model and upgraded what should I buy? Also I can buy a new 2010 27 with applecare for 1200?

Do what you can afford and what you want. I would say do the 2010.
 
Well base model 2011 on apple refurb is gone only have the ugraded but thats more money and I just talk to the guy with brand new 2010 been used couple time but has everything with it dos have applecare said he may take 1000 so he will let me know also has office and some other software he bought.

Ill be watching apple refurb. I havent heard from the guy yet with the 2010 27 yet for 1000. Does anyone know someone or any websites that have a good deal on 2011 27 imac base model or the upgraded i5?
 
I like the 2011 more than the 2012. While the 2011 limits you more than I like on non-external expandability with the 2012 you are pretty much restricted to more ram and an SSD card (and upgrading some parts if you feel like major surgery).
 
Well just bought a 2011 27 imac with applecare and everything for $1050 should receive next week excited
 
Deal fell through on 2011 going to look and possibly but 2010 27 2.8 i5, 4gb 1tb hdd, upgraded graphics radeon hd 5750 1gb what a good deal has box and everything?
 
Just bought the upgraded 2010 27 imac everything is mint like new the guy has every little thing from new and has applecare till end of 2014 paid $1000. Hope was a good deal what is this thing worth?
