Yep, my water sensor is pink.
There is no way I can afford another one. I guess I'll have to get some simple QWERTY phone and live with that until next November. Wait, NOOOOOO!!!!!! How am I possibly supposed to do that?
Take a deep breath. My iPhone's sensors tripped just because I live in Lousiana and it's like 99% humidity in the summer. Apple wouldn't replace the phone so I replaced the water sensors myself. Took it to another Apple store and had it replaced because it was dropping calls like a MOFO.
There are many things you can do:
- Send the iphone in to a a 3rd party website and have them replace the water sensors.
- Open the iPhone yourself, and peel off the water sensor and replace them yourself. You can order water sensor paper off the net for cheap.
- Cry like a baby and accept that you have a $600 paperweight that you will still pay $80 per month to AT&T.
Do not pour bleach down the headphone jack and up the usb connector. I can't believe people do that!
There are MANY youtube video's that show how to do this:
