I'm going nuts with anticipation. It's always so exciting to get a new compy. Especially since i'm attempting a transition from iMac + Air -> Macbook Pro.

With all the possibilities of the touchbar, the much more impressive GPU, and the incredible colour range of the screen, whatcha gonna do with it?

I'm gonna:

- Write
- 4K Video in Final Cut
- Photo & Design in Adobe CC
- Present to clients on amazing screen

And I may even get back into DJing just for fun (I used to DJ nightclubs about 10 years ago) on Traktor or Serato. Just as a parlour trick for house parties.

I can't wait to use that touchbar for the timeline in FCPX – I have carpal tunnel issues so I'm excited to click less, and I personally also edit in a style that has me jumping around and resizing the view a lot.

I think my trusty old 2011 27" iMac is about to become a Target Display for me and photo editing station for my fiancé's small business. And the Air will be her on-the-go lappy. Kazam! So nerd-pumped!

I'm going to look at it while i play on my new Playstation 4 Pro :)

This Macbook Pro will just be used for light work now and Football Manager 2017...

Casual gaming, programming, VMing ....
Just moving my life from the previous machine onto this one, no big deal.

MacOS side: reading documents, surfing Safari, storing music, Office 365

Windows 10 side: games, I *may* install Office 365 there too because the Windows shortcuts are different on Excel & more pivot table functionality.

Photo and video editing, blogging/vloggging, light gaming, browsing/email & iTunes for the most part. No doubt I'll find other uses as I get to grips with MacOS, really can't wait!

My 15" is now relegated to clamshell mode with Logic Pro X + hundreds of gigs of sample libraries.

The new 13" is the take to work/musescore/practice programming laptop.

All I will be doing is Facebook, Twitter, Youtube and Instagram.. I can't believe I only have 4x Thunderbolt 3 ports and 16GB RAM max for this. :(

I don't really bother about the missing touchscreen, as i use my iPad pro & Apple Pencil for Drawing and Sketching which works better for me than any Windows Touchscreen device.

I also use MainStage3 a lot in my freetime.

Same thing I do with the laptop I have right now.

Because my needs don't change because of a new computer.

The same things I do at the moment - Xcode, Creative Suite, FCP and Motion, writing, drawing graphs, browsing the web... A whole melange of tasks! Just it'll be a little faster, smaller, with a few extra bells and whistles which I'm looking forward to.
