from previous version of safari..i'm not sure it has to do with maverick...
whatever happened to the search spot in "show history" section?
 
239 views and no comments? they probably don't know what i'm talking about then.
 
Searching keywords in history is now part of the omni search bar in Safari. Just type in any word in the omnibar and on the bottom of the list, click on 'Search for "word" in History'.

OH AHAHHA thanks...didn't know about this...was this even mentioned during presentation of mavericks? I know i haven't read the manual....lack of time....
 
Mavericks doesn;t have a manual but would be cool if it did.
