What's 2x as fast?

Are they talking about the processor and more ram or the 3g speed?

Because they didnt say anything about the cpu, but they did say the 3g speeds were faster. I hope they weren't talking about 3g.

They are definitely talking about the processor as well as 3G.

Look at the keynote slide with the speed comparison tables. Also look at the Introductory video on Apple's website. They mention specifically the performance of 3D games, and how fast you can open apps and move between them. That has nothing to do with 3G. Though 3G is also faster (after AT&T upgrades to 7.2 MBPS).
