Hello, what do you think is a decent price to sell my iPad 2? It's in excellent condition with a screen protector since day one, no scratches. Someone on Craigslist is offering $400 do you think that's too low? It's still under warranty until June 30. Thank you

Way too low. 64gb wifi ($699 new not including tax) should fetch at least $500 in my opinion.

With that little time left on the warranty, I would only pay $300. If selling, I would jump at $400.

Apple sells the refurb for 499, which comes with a one year warranty. So I would think something less than 499.

Sold our iPad2 64GB WiFi units for about $375 each. Given that a new iPad2 16GB is $400 I wanted to offload our units quickly.

So the answer comes down to a fast nickle or the slow dime, as they say in merchandising (or used to say).

I just bought a 64gb refurb from Apple with a 1 year warranty for $499, would say that $350-$400 would be a fair price for yours.

Since yours isn't a refurb, I still think $500.

My thought would be since his is not a refurb and almost a year old it should be cheaper as a refurb comes with a completely new shell and a new battery. So for all purposes is a new iPad. So why should someone pay $500 for a year old iPad that will be out of warranty in a month When they can pay $499 for one that is for all purposes new and carries a 1 year warranty.

Just my thoughts, not trying to start a flame war here.

Have a great day,

Used iPad 2

Apple sells refurbs for .... $499 with a new shell, new warranty, new accessories AND the ability to buy Applecare+.

I wouldn't pay above $400 if I were in the market but YMMV.
I just bout a $319 16GB refurb.

On eBay they're going as low as $325. $400 seems a pretty good deal. It really doesn't matter what you paid or what they retail for -- anybody who buys used merchandise has to deal with somebody else's wear and tear and they will be compensated for the risk.
