I have to sell my MacBook Pro late 2011 because I'm broke, I was wondering what would be a fair price for it?

It's a 17-inch anti-glare with 8GB RAM and 7200RPM 750GB HD. It has an AMD video card with 1GB and it is in pristine condition aside from some scratches on the underside. It also has over 2 years left on Applecare.

What's a fair deal for this folks? It hurts to sell it believe me.

900 to 1000

In my opinion, that's way, way, way too low. Mac2Sell reports such a system (assuming it's a 2.5 gHz quad-core i7 processor) has a value of $2060.

Similar configurations are (or were) selling in the refurb store for approximately $2150.

Neither of those prices include Applecare.

I'd be aiming for something around $1900-$2100, if the market permits it.

Yeah, if you're doing craigslist then I'd list for $2200. You'll get low-balled at $2000, counter with $2100. Someone will probably bite.

Wow. Really sorry. Really went low with that one. Didn't take into account the 17 inch screen. 2200 would be a fair price.

Careful with Craigslist, I have a 2007 Macbook pro I am selling at in 2 days I had two people trying to scam me with fake PayPal offers.

Seems like its just become a place for people to try and scam from.

That being said I did just sell an unlocked iPhone 3gs for $200 on there, but did get multiple scam offers as well.
