I bought my macbook pro last december, now that school has started again, I would like to buy a lock for my laptop, however i keep reading bad reviews everywhere. Anyone have one they can recommend?
Those dumb little kingston locks are nothing but visual deterrents. All the ones i've used weren't tight enough, were easily hacked through embarrassingly easy means found via google, too expensive and easily rendered useless if the perp tugs ever so slightly.
Most do kinda suck, but having one is a good deterrent and will stop lots of people looking for a quick grab. The Kensington Click Lock is by far the best one I've used, b/c it snaps on very tight with no clearance to "pick" it.
