is there a good free one i can download to makea video for youtube or is there one built-in to the os?

I have used both Snapxprox and now use ishowU.

while the video capture of SnapxproX quality wise is fine, it is not a universal App, although it does work ok on Intel Macs, but it creates huge temp files and takes forever to encode after you finish capturing. ishowU is much much better than SnapxProx for video capture as it does not have to encode after capture.

does anyone know an app which captures the screen into swfs, like the macromedia captivate did? 'cause all the apps you've listed here, as far as i'm concerned, only exports to quicktime file format. and for great quality, the files are huge, huge! i could compressed them, but it's a lot of work.
any help? or i'll have to stick with captivate on my pc?!!

thks in advance.
