Someone who used to be a Moderator, was successful, but now has retired from their duties.

It just means that we were mods, but that we have now "retired" from modding duties, rather than being fired
We get to keep our slightly larger avatar, have the different title, but we no longer have access or privilege to any modding tools.

Maybe not ALL of their free time, and they may still be tied up. ;-)
Can you imagine not being able to ignore annoying members or excluding pointless areas of the forum, being hassled all the time "why did you wasteland my thread?" etc?
I'd begin to hate this place too...
