I'm looking to buy one w/ 2GB RAM and a 160GB hard drive. 10.4 installed. Case is in good shape, no dead pixels, etc. Guy wants $500. Is that a fair price if not what should I counter. I want it so don't want to low ball, but don't want to rip myself off either.

Sounds like more or less fair price. You might try to bring the price down by 10% or so.

Your Computer is a PowerBook 12 inch G4 1.50 GHz 512 / 80 GB / superdrive
The Mac2Sell Quoted Value is : CA$ 470

At that price, I'm never selling mine!

I was always impressed with the PowerBooks, but that seems excessive considering the lowest end Mac's sold these days are many times faster. Do people REALLY like them that much? My buddy has got a TiBook as his main computer...still. Pretty worn but it does what he asks of it.

I think people would be willing to pay more than that now. It can't really quote accurate as it doesn't asses condition and OS.
