What's going on with the Lexmark eBay auctions?

Does anyone find this interesting? Ebay is being flooded with all these Lexmark All-in-Ones. My friend just bought one for $2.25! Less than three buck for a printer/scanner/copier (no ink or USB cable). But really.

Does anyone know what the story is with all these?

Yeah. Lexmark sucks. It has cost me a friendship with someone to whom I sent my former Lexmark "printer" i.e. piece-of-crap never-works crashes-and-glitches hunk of plastic. Nightmare. Plus their ink is big$. HP for me from now on.

Yeah, that's one thing I caught. It's only a couple dollars, but then it's $35 to ship, and the cartridges are another $30 or so. Pretty much the same price as if you bought it at Wal-Mart new, where it comes with ink. Saves you the hassle of shipping.

Definitely stick to HP. The cartridges occasionally have some reliability problems, but the printers never do, and their cartridges are cheaper than most anyway.
