What's good speed for browsing?

I am getting close to 1 mbps from Sprint. Do you think that's good enough for browsing/using maps? How fast the speed should be you stream videos off youtube?

Browsing will be OK. I'd expect significant buffer time with Youtube at 1Mb/s.

That's what I thought but I just watched a 2 hr movie off youtube without any problem. It took 5-6 seconds in the beginning but then the playback was smooth. Btw, I burnt 400 mb of data so yeah I am staying with sprint for unlimited data.
