I know this is probably unlikely but does anyone think that the big sealed packages are really iPad 2's instead of MacBook Pro's

If apple was to announce the MacBook Pro update wouldn't they just send new MacBook Pro's without the sealed package?

It seems like it could be a possibility

ipad: all models show shipping time as within 24 hours.

Its MBP's this week.

I'm not sure there will be media event for this iPad update.
Most of the rumor mongers are about exhausted and we are just waiting to see what will really happen.
MacRumors just jumped the shark with that piece that said there might be a light speed connector on the top.
They think it's gonna have frickken lasers? :eek:

Is that why there are no more iPad 2 rumors?

I was wondering where they went (it makes waiting easier)

I think there will still be a media event (they could demo iPad 2 and iOS 4.3)
 
I would be shocked if they didn't have a media event for the iPad2 launch. The media would be all over it and there is no way they pass up on that kind of free coverage/advertising.

ALL the evidence points towards it being macbook pro's. get a grip and WAIT for christ's sake :rolleyes:

What does that even mean? The rumors haven't magically stopped and it's not like there's a daily schedule by which to gauge them.

Oh, and unless Apple's behind 100% of the rumors there's not even a rational connection between rumors and actual product releases.

They're hybrid machines. You can detach the MBP's screen, which is actually an iPad.
 
Jesus Christ at all the misused apostrophes in this thread. I thought everyone learned in 1st grade that you only use an "apostrophe s" ('s) with possession and as a contraction for "is" and "has". Just because something is an abbreviation doesn't mean it uses a 's at the end.
