What was the most recent iMac that supported display in from it's mini Display Port. I know 2013 can't, and I'm pretty sure 2012's didn't support it either.

Can anyone help me with this?

Can anyone else add to or confirm that none of the 2011 iMac's supported video in via MiniDisplay port, and all the 2010 27" models do?

The 2011 iMac was the first to include Thunderbolt. Thus, it can only accept video in from another equipped Thuderbolt Mac.

Thanks, how is the screen quality on those compared to the current gen?

I can't yet compare to the current gen (my late 2013 is due to arrive any day now), but after 3 years my current iMac screen is holding up pretty well. It's developed a subtle blochy haze in the two upper corners that are very hard to see except on pure white backgrounds. These developed in the last 5-6 months or so. Not sure if it's on the inside of the glass or on the LCD panel itself. It's not (yet) annoying enough to try to fix.
