If you want more put it on eBay , I was on there looking around the past weekend and the prices that people are getting for these computers is unreal.
You could try craigslist also for your area also. Do not forget shipping and handling

wow, that was fast. thanks a lot.

But I have a really really stupid question...

can I give my macbook to apple for this price? I mean, can I sell my refurbished macbook to a applereseller? How does that work?!

If not I'm gonna trade privately.

If you have an apple reseller in your area that will take trades than yes maybe but I only have an Apple store in my area and to the best of my knowledge they dont take trades at all. So sell it to someone on here or ebay get your money and do your homework and ask all the questions before you go and buy a new one, so that your not sitting at home or work saying "Dam" I should have gotten this or that" But look at your NEEDS & BUDGET first than go from there.

according to your post I could sell - theoretically - my macbook for around 900$ and then buy the a new one. only to have a faster one, that's it. the problem is, I don't wanna have this computer for 2 more years or something..
maybe an iMac would be sufficiant as well... I would probably need the mac for video editing on a semi-pro-level and with a macbook it's just impossible.
