November 2008 to June 2009 we seen new Mac Pro's, MacBook, Pros and Air, Mac Mini, iMac's, iPhones, Xserve and a 24-inch LED Cinema Displays but what's next? Here is a few guesses on my part

1. New Desktop LED Displays (30", 20")
2. maybe a 3.2 Mac Pro Nehalem
3. Nehalem base MacBooks Pro's and iMac's
4. New iPods
5. DVI-D Dual Link to Mini Displayport adapter
6. updated Apple TV

again i'm just guessing and may not come true but the one thing I would like to see happen is new desktop LED Displays some time this year, What are your guesses on what apple is going to do next or update

Given what we have seen. iMac bumps are prbly the next thing on the horizon. I doubt the notebooks get updated before October. And the 30" display will clearly be updated when the G5 Powerbook comes out.

I heard the G5 Powerbook is coming out real soon ;)

IMO the next updates will be the iPods in September, as usual.

I would really like to see a better Apple TV or some sort of Apple TV/Mini merge (although I know that wont happen). I really feel like the Apple TV is just a few modifications from REALLY being something that is almost necessary to have rather than something that is just convenient/ fun to have.

As far as the next updates...
I'd say iPods in Sept/Oct
iMac's in Oct/Nov- Displays too maybe

I really do not think there will be a notebook refresh until Jan seeing as there was 2/3 from late 08 till now depending on how you count them all. I mean until the new processors come out there isnt much to really do other than (In my opinion) add matte options, hi-res options to the 15, and an updated graphics card to the same processors (dumb) and those would not really warrant a "refresh" status/event in my book.

An iMac update is possible, but I wouldn't count on it. iPods in September are my bet.

I'm inclined to agree with this; can't see a major notebook update before the autumn, but the iPod range is a serious money-maker and Apple will strive to ensure that it is frequently refreshed to maintain its status as a "must have" accessory.

Cheers and good luck

I would like to see the Apple TV get opened up for apps, I think it would be awesome, live video feed within an app, would be very cool for football and other sports. Also more interactive news feeds. Plus having other type of apps like you get on the iPhone(but of course made for the ATV), including simple games.

I also want to see quad core enter into the iMac line.

Apple TV

Apple TV is overdue. I was begining to fear they were abandoning it, but the recent software update gives me hope. I would be one likely buyer.

a quad core Mac mini, like the old cube, it could be called the worlds smallest supercomputer, on your desk.

1. 20" isn't happening. They killed it for a reason.
2. Why? The point?
3. You'd need Arrandale to come out first.
4. September.
5. Nope. Not happening.
6. They'd better fricking do this. I've been waiting years to get one. It needs 1080p hardware.

1. iPods (September)
2. Nehalem notebooks (Q4 '09)
3. Desktops (Q1 '10)
4. Arrandale notebooks (Q2 '10)

Just my guess list...

In terms of Quad Core iMacs hurting MacPro sales, I can understand that. I mean I have an 09 MP, but I would have settled for a Quad iMac. I love having 3.5TB of storage, but for as often as I use it, I could deal with being limited to externals and USB 2.0 speeds. Also, for the ATI card, I havent used it as much as I thought I would for gaming, so yeah... Well done (from Apples POV).

I'm pretty sure you're incorrect.

Blu-ray is impossible until, oh... H1 2011 at the earliest for software implementation, but I stand by the 2015 idea.

I don't understand that logic since Apple has been on the Blu Ray association board of directors since 2004. To me, this should be a no brainer and should be implemented. Any excuse given is exactly that.
