If TIME magazine had a Tech Gadget of the year it would’ve been the M4 Tandem OLED iPad Pro. It’s the most prolific and significant update in iPad history. With that being said what’s next ?

I wouldn't say the M4/Tandem OLED was the most significant update in iPad history.

Hopefully an iPad Pro with an OLED screen that doesn't give us PWM sensitive folks a headache. Otherwise, I will not be buying an iPad to replace my trusty 2018 iPP. But I expect we are stuck with this screen tech for 2-3 more generations, which could easily be 5-6 years.

An M5 or M6 chip in 2 or 3 years time. WiFi 7, and that’s probably it. It’s an oblong with a screen. Literally only so much they can do with it really. It’s got cellular, been made thinner, has thinner bezels I think, is lighter, has had a Mini LED screen, LCD screen, now OLED screen. Has had several iterations of Apple Pencil. What else can they do?

All I can see left is making the OS more Pro or giving it Mac OS, neither of which will happen, or making it a foldable which also may never happen, may happen, no one knows when etc etc.

If Apple had released the current iPP M4 with a touch screen version of Mac OS then it would be tech gadget of the year, probably decade even. In terms of whats next then Titanium frame, thinner bezels, Mac OS (this is the big one), more colours, extra USB C ports etc

Now starting at $1,999, and we think you're going to love it.

*10 months later* Why have iPad Pro sales tanked?

12GB of ram (which are already there but not enabled and imacs shipped 16GB M4 as a base). Maybe better screen in terms of PWM. Better battery - because the situation is freaky as of now where 13 and 11 inch models outwin each other depending on the task.
