Here I am, after reinstalling Snow Leopard and am wondering what I need on my dock. I'm seeing this revamp as a sort of spring cleaning.

Before the reinstall I had the downloads folder and also my dropbox folder, same as now...though I also used to have a "China" folder and a "work" folder, considering these both were/are important projects of mine that I attend to on a daily basis.

Nevertheless, am wondering what members of the community have on the right side of the dock. :apple::apple::apple::p

Applications Folder, Downloads Folders and the Trash Can

Will be removing the applications folder when Lion is released because of LaunchPad.

what do you mean with right side? my dock is on the left side:D

i have downloads, applications, documents, windows 7 applications and trashcan low down.

just have the trash can on mine for now.... never know what may change though course i have 21 icons on the left side of the dock before the trash can.

hopefully Steve will be back soon!

A numbers sheet i use quite regular, several URL I am using often, utilities stack, Adobe CS3 stack, Adobe CS4 stack, 2 personal folder stacks, projects folder stack, Downloads folder stack, documents stack, recently used applications stack, trash.

A fan stack for my downloads folder, a grid stack for my most frequently used applications, a list stack for my applications folder, and a list stack for my home folder.

I don't have any indicators in my dock because I don't have any apps in it other than open ones, I just use my frequent apps stack to open them. It's actually much faster and easier to open and switch between apps this way IMO.

I left it as is: Apps, Documents, Downloads and Trashcan.

The Apps are in a list, and both the documents and downloads in a grid, in case you're making a study. :)

From left to right: Dropbox, Applications, Documents, Downloads, Trash. I don't often use the Applications folder unless I want to play a game but am not sure which one, then it's nice for looking around.

I changed the icons with CandyBar and the "Flurry" icon packages, got rid of the dock graphics by making the dock 2D and using this app (I think), aligned the dock to the right side using this terminal command, and the song data at the left is Ecoute.
