When using my MacBook Pro with a Samsung 830 in the main bay and a 750GB HDD in the ODD bay, the HDD likes to randomly spin up.
My iTunes Library is on the HDD, but the spin up occurs even when iTunes hasn't been opened since last boot.
The only apps are Safari and Mail, neither of which are supposed to be storing data on the second drive.
Does anyone know how to restrict drive usage or otherwise prevent the HDD from spinning up? The whir of the platter starting up is driving me insane.
