I just bought a new MB. I have one question though.

What the hell is taking up almost 20GBs of room on the HD right out of the box? I don't ever remember there being that much stuff put onto a new computer. I certainly don't remember it when I bought my new G4 PB a couple years back.

I've looked through the Applications and threw out a bunch of stuff but only maybe got 500MB or so erased. I'm afraid to start hunting for crap and throwing away the wrong stuff.

Is the Intel OSX that much bigger than the PowerPC version?

Languages that you probably don't need.

Did you trash Garage Band? there are a bunch of other folders with crap in them that go with it.

You probably already dumped the demo stuff, but if you haven't, those should go.

Are you going from the advertised hard drive size or the formatted hard drive size to workout how much stuff is on there?
