Looking for an app that will rip and convert DVDs so I can place them in my iTunes. I understand that taking copyright material is illegal but I would only be doing this with the DVDs I own. Any advice is greatly appreciated. I'm looking for something to bypass the copyright screen rip and convert all in one preferably. Is mac x ripper pro any good?

Thanks

What's the best app for ripping DVDs?

use apps like Ripit or DVD Fab to rip the DVD to your drive and then use Handbrake to convert.

I use MakeMKV and then run the resultant file through Handbrake. I found that running handbrake alone takes longer.

I also use MakeMKV for ripping, both DVD and Blu-ray. Then I transcode them to an iTunes friendly format.

And relax about the illegal status of DVD ripping. Sure, it is illegal in most countries, even if you own a legal copy, but that doesn't mean it's immoral. People generally confuse those two things.
